There was a time in the mid to late 1900's where music was an outlet and a vehicle to project an artists' politcal, social-economical and environmental concerns. These songs reflected the rapidly changing times of that era. Government organizations of the time, particularly the United States government were concerned and often dissapointed with the content of these songs and often would sanction radio stations and networks to ban these songs from broadcasts. Despite their efforts, we remember these classic just the same.
